In a gaming PC, the most important component is a graphics card and you need to choose it carefully. This also affects what type of CPU you need to drive it smoothly. If the combination of graphics card and processor is not done carefully, users might experience slow down and bottleneck. Most of you might be in a seriously tight budget but before you spend be very careful.

We are not including any monitor here because preference is different per person. Basically this gaming PC can run games smooth at 720p resolution and at 1080p as well. Most of the people in Nepali market use 19″ monitors with 1366×768 resolution and this setup will suffice that. These are the specs we recommend for the new budget gaming PC of 2018.

Intel Core i3 8100 Rs 13,500
8 GB DDR4 RAM Rs 8,500
MSI H310 Pro VD Rs 9,500
MSI GT 1030 2GB Rs 12,500
450W PSU+ Casing Rs 2000
500 GB HDD Rs 3,500

The total cost of the build is around Rs 50,000. It is a 2018 build with new 8th gen i3 processor. We recommend this because it is new and it is quad core CPU.

More Options and Advice

The above setup is meant for gaming at about 720p 30 fps. Also note that online gaming also depends on your internet speed connection. Its not for 1080p 60 fps gaming. New Intel 8th gen processor comes at around same cost at 7th gen but offers double power. As desktop is long term investment we advice you to get this one. But if you are short on cash then Core i3 7th gen is also good and the motherboard are also cheaper. This can save you about Rs 6000 easily.

For the graphics card, we highly recommend the GT 1030 and if you can do buy the GTX 1050 2 GB. If you want to save money then you can go lower as GT 730 4 GB which comes at Rs 8000. For other additional options, you can have 1 TB Hard disk at Rs 5,500. If you have got some more cash then definitely buy an SSD to install your OS. They make a lot of difference in real life.

We have tested a lot of hardware till now and we know that there is certain threshold which you must maintain. In lower end market you might spend some portion but may not get the power you paid for. So be wise and spend on those hardware that actually pays you back. So rather than spending on any hardware you can get, save and get a better one. Always go the shops, get quotation and then only buy because above listed price are average MRP.
