Design and Build
The Eon Blaze Gold is made up of a plastic body and as the name suggests it comes in golden color. The phone has a 5″ screen with 2.5D glass over the screen. The screen layer is smoothened and rounded edges. Eon Blaze Gold also has a curved back that makes the phone feel good in the hands too. This gives a nice feeling and finish to the phone’s design with a satisfying user experience.
Above the screen on the front side, there is a selfie camera, earpiece, and sensors. While on the bottom part, there are touch navigation buttons. This is a very standard design for any smartphone. So from the build perspective, it is good enough for the price because this s a really low-budget phone.

Core Internal Hardware
CG Eon Blaze Gold is powered by 1 GB of RAM and a Quad core processor which is clocked at 1.3 GHz. 4 core processor or quad core chipset has become very common and the processor used in this phone is enough for satisfactory performance. As a basic phone there is just 1 GB RAM. However this is sufficient for Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow because the operating system also makes the phone experience fluid and smooth.
The internal storage of CG Eon Blaze Gold is 16 GB and it can be upgraded to 64 GB using an external micro SD card. A budget phone with 16 GB can store pretty reasonable data. Moreover, if we put a 32 GB or 64 GB memory card, it becomes enough to store photos and music files. So this storage is justifiable for the price too. In the case of the battery, Eon Blaze Gold uses a 2300 mAh battery to serve it for one full day.

Display and Cameras
This smartphone has a 5” IPS display with 854×480 resolution. It is called FWVGA resolution and is not HD. Thus it is quite low but it is still good enough for the screen size. We understand this resolution on Eon Blaze Gold because HD screens with more pixels are expensive. Smartphone manufacturers usually chose low-resolution screens on budget products and it is natural.
Now talking about the camera, the back side of the phone has a 13-megapixel back camera. Thirteen megapixels is enough to take very high-resolution, detailed, and vivid pictures. This pixel count is also enough to make large printouts. The back camera can even record Full HD 1920X1080 videos.
Similarly, the front side of the phone has 5-megapixel cameras. Users can capture decent selfies, and enjoy good video conferences and chats with the front camera. It is quite interesting and appreciated that even on a budget device, CG has managed to provide a standard 13 MP back and 5 MP front camera.
Conclusion
CG EON Blaze Gold is an entry-level budget phone with a plastic body. It is common in all entry-level phones. This phone is meant for starters who need limited features from a phone. It is powered by a quad-core processor, 1 GB RAM, a decent battery, and a 13 MP main camera. The mobile provides a good combination of hardware and software at this price. In our view, CG could have bumped specs and priced up a little bit to compete with the market. Still, it is a good option for people with a low budget and who want to taste Android or have a secondary device.
