Chaudhary Groups’s Mobile and Electronics division launched new CG Omega 3 in Nepal. It is a entry level phone at a very low budget price. This phone was unveiled to us bloggers a few months ago. They are offering a good looking phone following current trend at a low budget. Official Price of CG Omega 3 in Nepal is Rs 7,849.

CG Mobiles is a company that focuses more on the budget segment. Their few phones were targeted to mid range market at first. Now they have phones in both entry level and mid range segment. CG Omega 3 is a entry level phone with good looks due to the new tall 18:9 aspect ratio screen. This tall display type is liked by many people these days as it makes bezels seem smaller.

On top there is a 4.95” LCD with 2.5D glass on top. The screen resolution is 480×960 for the full view display. Under the good looking glass, there is Spreadtrum SC7731C SOC with 1.2 GHz quad core processor. It also has 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage. Omega can only take up to 32 GB of memory card.


The phone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with a 2300 mAh battery. Being a basic phone, there are only two sensors i.e Accelereometer and Proximity sensor. CG Omega does support dual SIM of micro size. It is an entry level phone so the camera is also pretty basic. The rear side boasts 5 MP sensor and front side hosts 2 MP shooter. They can capture photos at a reasonable quality.


People these days usually buy expensive phones. CG Omega is meant for people who just want a good looking budget phone. CG is offering a nice little package with decent hardware, software at a good looking design. The hardware it packs is good enough for low demand and daily tasks. 1 GB RAM and quad core processor are the minimum requirements now days. This phone is appreciable and it would be great if they implement Android Go in the future.
