Build and Design
CG Omega 3 is a basic and entry-level phone so it has a basic build-up. It has a plastic body which does look nice. At the front, it has a tall screen with a smaller chin and a smaller forehead. The top or forehead has an earpiece, selfie camera, LED flash, and sensors. The backside of Omega 3 contains the main camera, LED flash at the top, CG logo at the top quarter, Omega 3 branding at a lower quarter, and speaker grill at the bottom. For functionalities, both power and volume buttons are on the right side of the phone. Well, to be honest, there isn’t much to talk about the design of this phone.
Core Internal Hardware
This is a basic entry-level budget smartphone from the company. CG Omega 3 has a quad-core Spreadtrum processor with a 2300 mAh battery, 1 GB RAM, and 8 GB storage. For storage, Omega 3 can only take up to 32 GB of memory card. This is a very basic hardware and there isn’t much to elaborate on.
We know this is 2018 and 1 GB RAM is not enough but this is a very affordable sub $80 (Rs 8,000) phone so that is acceptable. We have to understand that the specs are basic and can be only used for day-to-day tasks, web browsing, music playing, and watching videos. It is for people who want a smartphone but can live with fewer features.

Display and Cameras
CG Omega 3 has a 4.95″ TN panel with FWVGA (480×960) resolution and an 18:9 aspect ratio. This is a basic size screen and the technology is TN which is also acceptable for the budget category. The main interesting thing is use of 18:9 tall aspect ratio. As the screen size is small but the aspect ratio is tall, the phone is narrow and good-looking. People like this style so CG is providing it.
The camera department has a 5 MP camera on the rear side and a 2 MP camera on the front side. These are low pixel count sensors and can only take HD photos and videos at a lower resolution. You shouldn’t count much on the cameras as these are there for just being there. It can take photos but the quality isn’t satisfactory.
Impression and Thoughts
The CG Omega 3 on Android 7.0 Nougat with a 2300 mAh battery. This means there is a somewhat new OS and a decent battery. Being a basic phone, there are only two sensors i.e. accelerometer and a Proximity sensor. For network, CG Omega 3 does support dual SIM of micro size. It is an entry-level phone so the camera is also pretty basic. They can capture photos at a sub-par quality. For main specs, the quad processor is good enough to provide basic functionalities.

People these days usually buy expensive phones. But CG Omega 3 is meant for people who want a good-looking budget phone. It is a phone targeted at different audiences. CG offers a nice little package with decent hardware, and software at a good-looking design on Omega 3. The hardware it packs is good enough for low-demand and daily tasks. As 1 GB RAM and a quad-core processor are the minimum requirements nowadays, just expect the phone to live and give you basic functionalities. Overall, this phone is appreciable due to its price but it would be great if they implement Android Go in the future.
