Build and Design
The CG Blaze G has a small plastic body with rounded corners and a rounded curved removable back. The backside has a camera at the left top with LED flash, CG branding at the center, and a speaker grill at the bottom. The front side has a 4″ screen, touch navigation buttons, a selfie camera with LED flash, and an earpiece. This is interesting because even though Blaze G is a budget phone it has a front-facing LED flash.
If we look at the sides of Blaze G, the left side has a power button and volume rocker. Similarly, the top side has a headphone jack and the bottom side has a USB port. It has a very basic design that most budget phones carry.
Core Internal Hardware
To be honest CG Blaze G is an ultra low-end super budget smartphone, so the internal hardware is just basic. The internals comprise a quad-core processor at 1.3 GHz, Mali GPU, and 1 GB RAM. It is good to see that quad-core is now the minimum. The era of dual-core for both computers and mobiles is now history. We are now in a generation where quad-core is the minimum and octa-core is mainstream.
In the case of storage, users only get 8 GB onboard storage inside the phone. For memory cards, there is 32 GB SD card support which is the maximum limit here. We wished to see at least 64 GB support support but we see people usually people don’t need that higher SD card. Thus it is easily passable. For battery, Blaze G has a removable 1700 mAh battery.

Display and Cameras
This is a small package in all terms. So, it holds a 4-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 480×800. On the top, there is 2.5D glass for a better feel and look. The front side also comes with with 2 MP selfie camera and LED flash. The rear side comprises 5 MP cameras and LED flash. Inside the Camera app or software, there are a few good models like HDR, Night mode, and face detection.
The camera is just the bare minimum here so there is no high expectation. It will just work fine for minimal tasks. The front camera is also okay for video chat for low bandwidth situations where quality doesn’t matter much. So do keep your expectations as they should be for the budget.
Impression
CG Blaze G is running on Android OS and has basic hardware to run the day-to-day apps or functions. The Blaze G is also small so maneuvering and use are effortless. It is definitely a very good addition to the market for starting users. CG Blaze G is well suited for people who want to start the journey on Android with the least budget possible. This phone is for people who want to move to a smartphone from a feature phone. We encourage CG to bring better phones to the market as they are a very trusted brand in Nepal due to their FMCG reputation.
