Build and Design
Colors P50+ has a very conventional design. It has a plastic body with a 5″ screen at the front with a very large forehead, chin, and bezels. There are no touch navigation buttons or home buttons on the chin. However, the forehead does have a selfie camera, earpiece, and sensors. The backside has a main camera, LED flash, and speaker. The right side has both a volume rocker and a power button. It is a very classic design for a phone of this budget.
Core Internal Hardware
The Colors P50 Plus packs a Spreadtrum SC9832 SoC with a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and Mali-400 MP2 GPU. This system pairs with 1 GB RAM and 8 GB storage. The storage can only support a maximum of 32 GB micro SD card. It is quite low but users who buy this phone don’t need much as well.
For power, the P50 Plus uses a 2200 mAh battery. This is a decent-sized battery for a phone of this size For software, this device is running with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. In terms of internal hardware, this is basic and acceptable for a phone of this budget.

Display and Cameras
On the front, Colors P50 Plus has a 5.0-inch IPS LCD screen with 854×480 resolution. This is SD range resolution which is acceptable for this specification and price range. In terms of display, Colors is providing 2.5D glass on top that provides very small curves at the edges.
In the camera section, we have the bare minimum or basic only. The back camera is a 5 MP sensor and the front camera is a 2 MP sensor. This camera can take HD photos at a reasonable quality. Almost all phones in this range provide similar cameras. We can’t expect much from a 2 MP selfie camera or a 5 MP main camera. The selfie camera can mostly do a basic video call to just show the presence of a person. While a 5 MP camera can take somewhat acceptable photos during good daylight.
Impression
The design of the phone is a bit refreshed with a newer flush camera placement. Colors doesn’t use heavy UI over Android so it is almost stock. We like such implementation as it makes phones fast and better. Colors P50 Plus is a dual SIM phone which is an essential requirement for the phone in this range. It also has decent specs for the price and balances all its features. We have seen Colors providing fingerprint sensors in its cheaper offerings but we don’t see it in P50 Plus. They may have some reason but it would have been nice to have that.
