Build and Design
Gionee M7 Power has a large metal body with a really premium-looking construction. It has a boxy rectangular form factor with 156.4 x 76.7 x 8.6 mm dimensions and 199g weight. It comes with a shiny top strip at the back that holds the LED flash and camera. Then at the center of the back, there is a fingerprint scanner. The front side of M7 Power has a big screen, a Gionee logo, sensors, a selfie camera, and an earpiece. In the case of sides, the right side has both a volume rocker and a power button while the bottom side has an earphone jack.
Core Internal Hardware
Beneath the large display, Gionee M7 Power features a Snapdragon 435 SoC with a 1.4 GHz octa-core processor. It pairs with Adreno 505 GPU and 4 GB RAM. The on-board storage is 64 GB and the phone also supports a memory card of up to 256 GB. M7 Power is a battery-oriented phone. Its focus is on performance, media consumption, and long life. This phone can certainly provide a higher screen time compared to other phones of the same range. Its giant 5000 mAh battery can give it a run for more than a day easily.
Gionee is also providing Fast Charge to help replenish the giant battery. The original Gionee M7 is a bit more powerful than this phone with better specs and only 1000 mAh less battery. M7 Power is actually trimming down many hardware specs like RAM, Processor, and screen quality compared to the Gionee M7. We are just getting a phone with a better battery actually on M7 Power. Don’t let the name confuse you.

Display and Cameras
In the camera section, there is a 13 MP f/2.0 main back camera and an 8 MP f/2.2 front camera. These are pretty solid cameras as they can record 1920×1080 videos at 30 fps. In the display section, Gionee M7 Power features a 6” IPS LCD panel with 720×1440 HD+ resolution. It also has a Gorilla Glass 3 for protection. So overall we get a big screen with an 18:9 aspect ratio and a good set of cameras on the M7 Power.
Impressions and Analysis
As it is not a flagship phone, it can’t have everything. Regular Gionee M7 has every hardware in higher balance but M7 Power has scale tipped at battery size. The company is providing decent specs that fit today’s market though with M7 and M7 Power. As for price, M7 Power competes with the Samsung J7 Pro and Xiaomi Mi A1. Comparing the specs, Gionee M7 Power can match at a good level with competitors. But a few things like screen resolution, processor, and camera could have been better.
M7 Power is built for people who watch videos, and movies, browse the internet, play games, and consume media heavily. On top, it is made for heavy users who need longer battery life and balanced hardware. We have heard that Gionee Nepal will launch new better phones very soon. Their previous Gionee A1 and GioneeA1 Plus were good mid-range offers and are still in the market. As the market is getting competitive, people are expecting better products at lower prices. The industry is adapting and reacting as it should bringing great things always.
