Huawei Nepal has launched the new Huawei Mate 10 Pro unexpectedly in the market. The Mate 10 Pro reached the Himalayan kingdom after 2 months of international announcement. This is their first mobile launch of 2018 and the next launch after Huawei Nova 2i. The Mate 10 Pro is top of the top-of-the-line flagship smartphone from the company. It remains even above the P series as of now. The official Huawei Mate 10 Pro price in Nepal is Rs 1,03,000 at release. Only a few expensive phones of such level are available in the market.
Huawei Mate 10 Pro is one of the company’s most expensive phones in the Nepal market to date. Usually, enthusiasts and tech lovers only buy such phones of high-end range. Usually, people buy budget and mid-range phones like the Huawei P10 Plus which was much cheaper when it launched a few months ago. As expensive as it is in cost, Mate 10 Pro does pack some latest hardware to offer as well. Let us see in detail what we actually get.

Design and Build
Huawei Mate 10 Pro is a premium flagship smartphone with a solid-looking design,154.2 x 74.5 x 7.9 mm dimension, and 178 gm weight. It has an aluminum frame and Gorillas Glass at both the front and back. The whole body is IP67 dust/water resistant. It is an 18:9 aspect ratio tall display which gives an almost bezel-less feel. So overall it looks beautiful.
On the back, there is a strip with dual cameras and LED flash. Just below that, there is a fingerprint scanner. On the front, there is a screen in the middle, Huawei branding at the bottom, a selfie camera, and an earpiece at the top. The USB Port and speaker are at the bottom but the headphone is not at the top because Huawei has removed it! We should have seen it coming when Apple started it.
Core Internal Hardware
On the inside, the Huawei Mate 10 Pro packs a Hisilicon Kirin 970 chipset with an octa-core processor. One is a 2.4 GHz quad-core and the next is a 1.8 GHz quad-core set. We also get Mali-G72 MP12 GPU on the chipset for pushing lovely pixels to HDR10 ready screen. Nepal is getting a 6 GB RAM model with 128 GB storage. It is good because there is a 4GB RAM version as well and 6 GB is definitely better. There is no support for an external memory card so 128 GB is the max capacity. At the back, Mate 10 Pro carries a 4000 mAh battery which is quite big. In the software section, the phone runs on Android Oreo.
Display and Cameras
Huawei Mate 10 Pro features a 6” AMOLED screen with 1080×2160 resolution and with Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It also has HDR10 compliance. Very few mobile phones have HDR10 certified display. This gives brilliant color reproduction, high brightness, and contrast ratio. The optics department also has very interesting features. The rear camera set includes 2 cameras with f/1.6 aperture. One is 12 MP with OIS and the next is 20 MP with 2 times zoom.

The front camera is 8 MP with f/2.0 aperture. Huawei uses Leica engineered optics or lenses for their products. The back camera can shoot at 4K UHD and 1080p 60 fps. There are also lots of modes in-camera settings. The camera app of the Huawei is popular due to AI integration. Users can obtain great-looking photos and videos with AI. Depth of field and sharpness are also enhanced very much. All these give better results to users.

Huawei Mate 10 Pro is a full flagship phone with a top-of-the-line Kirin processor, 6 GB RAM, a big 4000 mAh battery, dual cameras, Gorilla Glass, a metal body, and a great display. New Kirin processor that is multiple times better than its predecessor. It also has a new 12-core Graphics processing unit and AI system. The New Neural Processing unit is a cutting-edge technology implemented in this phone. It has a higher calculation rate to make the phone better. The camera of the phone also produces sharper results due to software and better optics.
Huawei Mate 10 Pro is highly feature-packed. It has a fingerprint scanner at the back, just below the camera set. There is USB Type C, Barometer, Compass, Fast Charging and IP67 certification. We used the phone at the CAN InfoTech 2018 fair. It is very smooth and fast in terms of experience. The screen or body doesn’t feel that big and is easy to use as well. Overall, the Huawei Mate 10 Pro is a feature-packed phone with all top-level hardware and surely challenges the top players in the market.
