Huawei Nova 3 and Nova 3i are the new mid range phones that are succeeding previous Nova 2i. The Nova 2i is company’s one of the best selling smartphone. Just like last time they have added more things and polished the elements according to time. Huawei Nepal is launching this phone a day after launch in India. These phones pack a lot of upgraded hardware compared to the predecessor. Well lets have a look into them. The price of Huawei Nova 3 is Rs 59,900 (128 GB) and Nova 3i in Nepal is Rs 38,900 (128 GB).
Nova 3
The Huawei Nova 3 is the big brother of fully loaded phone. It is a mid range phone but the specs are almost on the flagship range. This new smartphones comes with 6.3″ 1080×2340 IPS LCD with notch at top. Underneath it runs a Kirin 970 SOC with an octa core processor. It consists of two quad core sets, one is 2.4 GHz and next is 1.8 GHz. This model comes with 6 GB RAM and two storage options of 64 and 128 GB.
The Huawei Nova 3 features dual camera setup at both sides. At the back side there is 16 MP f/1.8 and 24 MP f/1.8 Monochrome sensor. This main camera setup is capable to record 4K 30 fps videos and 1080p 60 fps videos. There is Gyro EIS which provides additional stability to the footage and pictures as well. The front side has 24 MP and 2 MP camera duo. The 2 MP sensor is for depth sensing purpose in order to give great looking portrait photos with background blur.
It is powered by 3750 mAh battery inside and also has rear mounted fingerprint sensor. There are lots of other features such as Fast Charging, Face unlock and much more. Nova 3 is totally packed with high resolution camera from both sides. This ensures users get highly detailed and better pictures and videos each time.

Nova 3i
Huawei Nova 3i is so much beefed up from the last Nova 2i. It is smaller brother to the normal Nova 3. Screen size and resolution is same but the internals are pretty different. It rocks a Kirin 710 chipset another octa core processor. One quad core set is 2.2 GHz while next one is 1.7 GHz. This mobile phone has 4 GB RAM and 128 GB storage.
The back sides has dual camera setup of 16 MP f/2.2 and 2 MP sensors. This main camera setup can only record at Full HD resolution and not in 2160p like Nova 3i. Both phone do have better HDR and Pro mode with RAW support which is fantastic. At front there are same 24 MP and 2 MP sensors. The 2 MP cameras at both sides are for depth sensing purpose. This shows that Huawei Nova phones will have better Bokeh effect and Portrait results. Inside there is 3340 mAh battery which is a bit smaller than 3i.
Comparison and Impressions
Both phones look brilliant in terms of design and build. Both phones also have SD card support upto 256 GB. They both have same software features as well. These phones are premium mid range competitors. The Huawei Nova 3 is really packed with big horses. It is in the flagship category considering the hardware. We really like how Huawei is going with their mid range phones and pushing the market.
If it is our choice, we would definitely choose the Huawei Nova 3 in order to enjoy the 6 GB RAM and 4K recording cameras. The Nova 3 also has bigger battery which can be great for such big screen. We would only suggest Nova 3i if you short of budget by a bit only. By the way we like both phones and their new gradient color but here the big brother seems much more attractive.
