Nepal’s biggest mobile network telecom company has started TV Pack service in Nepal. This new service is the result of collaboration between Ncell and NITV Streamz Pvt. Ltd. Ncell already has many exciting packages and service to offer. Nepal Telecom 3G users had mobile TV service since a long time.
NTC still has that service but it is post paid while Ncell’s plan is prepaid. The prepaid service helps people to control the consumption and expenses. Ncell was re-branded few months ago because it became a part of Axiata. Company promises to serve high quality TV and content service to the consumers.
Net TV is already providing IPTV service through Worldlink and Vianet. Unlike NTC’s service they have wide range of channels and very good service. People can watch TV using “NET TV NEPAL” app. It can be downloaded via Google Play Store. We have our prior experience with this app and in our view it is quite nice.
Plans and Rates: Currently there are few few packages for the consumers. The rate is almost Rs 1/min. Looking at the packages we can see that the price tends to drop as duration increases. This app can play TV programs and movies using WiFi as well. Customers need to create an account to use Net TV app. People should pay money to Net TV to watch premium content and channels.

Customers can use many methods to take benefit of this program. People can call at 1733 for IVR method or just dial *17133# and follow the process as instructed. Customers can activate the service by sending SMS to 17133. To get 2 hour service for a day, please follow the given example. Type 2 hr D in your message and send it to 17133.
The packs can be issued for one time or can be made auto renewal. Validity period for a pack is just 24 hours. Customers can deactivate the service via same numbers. They can dial *17133# and follow the instruction to deactivate as well.
