OnePlus Nepal has launched the all new OnePlus 5. The phone was introduced in Daraz Kaymu Mobile Week 2017. Everyone has very high expectation with OnePlus phones. This time they have skipped number four and gone to 5. Current price of 64 GB OnePlus 5 in Nepal is Rs 59,499.

BBK Electronics is parent company of Oppo, Vivo and OnePlus. They are nowadays really pushing through the market. Oppo and Vivo phones are very popular these days. OP is also getting lots of attention these days.

Specifications and Details

People are getting more conscious about specs, price, performance. The company is always pushing with the best they can. They have made a very good phone this time also. Lets start with the specs of OnePlus 5.

  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Chipset
  • Quadcore processor (1.45 GHz qaud core + 1.9 GHz quad core)

Our editors used the 8 GB model and reported on its excellent performance. The multi-tasking is impressive by the way. Games and application opened a night before can be found still running in background next morning.

The AMOLED screen is amazingly bright, vivid but 1080p is a let down. People expect QHD these days for more crispy images. In terms of features and sensors, the phone is loaded with all basic sensors. Next major improvement is camera. Following the current trend, OP has now implemented dual camera system.

At back we get a combination of 16 MP f/1.7 sensor and 20 MP f/2.6 sensor. The secondary sensor is for depth of field. It is different from Huawei’s monochrome sensor. f/1.7 aperture is wide for good low light pictures. The camera can record videos in 4K, slow mo at 720p and shoot high-res images very well.

Impression

These phones are bought by very specific people who know about tech. OnePlus phones main motto is to provide top notch flagship features in lowest price. It was reality when they dropped their OP1 in the market. It took the market as wildfire.

OnePlus 5 is one of the brilliant phone in the market. They are pushing to compete with other manufacturers these days. We are seeing gradual increase in price each time. Their pricing at first when OP1 came was great.

Now it is different, their price is same as flagship phones of other companies. We appreciate their powerful phone, good design but they really need to focus on pricing as well. It has bloatware free software, nice camera. Overall OnePlus 5 is one of the most powerful, fluid phone in the market. It has good processor, great memory and multitasking as well. We will be back with more such content so keep updated with us.
