Just a few months back OnePlus 5 was launched and now we already have OnePlus 5T. This is the smartphone launch frequency of big companies these days. The same thing happened with OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T last year. So it seems just like Apple, OnePlus is also going for two releases in one year. Now for the cost, the official OnePlus 5T price in Nepal is Rs 64,900 for 64 GB and Rs 72,900 for 128 GB model.
OnePlus 5T was just launched in the global and Nepali market. We also tested and experienced this new phone. At first look, it is a really good-looking phone and is packed to the top with features. As you might know, OnePlus is also owned by BBK Electronics. They really know the market and demand and they put features that consumers want. Design and Build
Bother the OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T have the same looks and design. In case of size, the 5T has 156.1 x 75 x 7.3 mm dimension and 162g weight. It has an Aluminium build or unibody construction with a very iPhone 6S Plus looking back. The back may look similar but both the front and back are different now. At the backside, we do get dual cameras in horizontal placement at the top but there is now a fingerprint scanner at the back because the front side has a larger taller screen.
On the front side, there is a larger 6.01″ OLED screen with 18:9 aspect ratio. OnePlus 5 has a 16:9 aspect ratio with 1920×1080 resolution. This new aspect ratio gives larger screen space and a better look to the new phone. As for buttons, the left side has an alert slider and volume rocker. Similarly, the right side has a power button and SIM card tray. The bottom side has a speaker grill, USB Type C port, and headphone jack.
Core Internal Hardware
This beast is rocking Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SOC on the inside. Snapdragon 835 is an octa-core processor with two quad-core sets. One is low power at 1.9 GHz and the next is 2.4 GHz. The powering GPU is Adreno 540 for pushing those pixels for all the graphics and games. In the case of RAM, there are two RAM and storage models available. One is a 6 GB RAM variant with 64 GB storage and the next is 8 GB RAM with 128 GB storage.
Be careful while choosing storage because there is no SD card slot. Space is what everyone should take care of because memory is already sufficient and 6 GB RAM is more than enough for multi-tasking. In the case of software, the OnePlus 5T is running on Android 7.1.1 with Oxygen OS which is near stock UI. In the case of the battery, it comes with a 3300 mAh battery and 20W Dash Charge support.

Display and Cameras
The new OnePlus 5T has a tall screen at 6.01″. This Optic AMOLED has an 18:9 aspect ratio and 1080×2160 FHD+ resolution that makes the phone look to have less bezel design and higher screen real estate. For protection, OnePlus has added a Gorilla Glass 5 on top of the big screen.
One of the interesting things in this new model is the camera as well. OnePlus doesn’t compromise with hardware and cameras because they only make a few phones actually. This new OnePlus 5T comes with two cameras at the back. One of the cameras is 16 MP while another camera is 20 MP but both cameras have f/1.7 apertures. The front side also features a 16 MP f/2.0 shooter with Gyro EIS. There is no OIS on any side because the inclusion of that could have made it brilliant.
The phone allows users to shoot at 4k at 30 fps, 1080p at 60 fps, and 720p at 120 fps using back cameras. There is auto HDR, manual mode, RAW shooting capability, and lots of other useful modes. The dual back camera set is also specialized to take photos with a blurred background or bokeh effect. It does a pretty good job of getting high details and a better color. Photos from the phone come out fantastic as well and videos look great.

Overall Impressions
OnePlus 5T has a very slim design and is lightweight. I personally love that black version, as that is the color of the gadgets I usually prefer. The phone has a powerful Snapdragon processor, and 6 GB RAM, and it holds a 3300 mAh battery which can easily run the phone for the whole day. There is Bluetooth 5, Dash Charging, a fast fingerprint sensor at the back and a ridiculously fast face unlock.
In our test, the face unlock was exceptionally faster than expected. The OnePlus 5T packs all the basic necessary sensors, and powerful hardware in a neat package. Overall we really love the the phone and recommend it all the way. If you are a videography lover and media collector do get a model with higher storage. Higher RAM and storage models will serve better in all terms. There is higher headroom for multi-tasking and double storage at a little addition of money is justifiable.
