This is the basic entry level budget smartphone from POCO. The C3 is in the Rs 15K price bracket. Poco C3 is a phone that comes with a 6.43″ LCD screen, 5000 mAh battery, and Helio G35 processor. This phone was launched together with the Poco M2 in Nepal. Both phones were launched together by the company after a long time. These phones are marking the official entry of the company in Nepal. The Poco C3 price in Nepal is Rs 14,999 for the 4/64 GB model. It is one of the most affordable phones from the company.
Nepali consumers like budget phones very much. We also appreciate this segment because we get to see a value for the money. Most people who want a new starting phone or a secondary driver are in this range. Therefore it is very important to offer the best a company has. If a starting user is impressed, that same person becomes a future customer for mid-range or flagship phone. So we take these smartphones very seriously. Therefore people are also critical to performance and pricing for these.

Core Internals
The Poco C3 packs an Helio G35 processor with 8 cores. Helio G35 is a basic chipset with IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU and Cortex-A53 CPU cores. It is an entry level processor and still comes with features like MediaTek HyperEngine and AI-camera enhancements. The Hyperengine provides better performance in work applications and games. It manages hardware resources temperature and battery life. This technology works intelligently to optimize the phone for better performance, efficiency, and power.
The Poco C3 comes with and 3/4 GB RAM options. In the case of the Nepali market, we get a 4 GB option with 64 GB storage. This is very good because 4/64 GB is a very good configuration for the price. We are surprised to see that within a short time, we see such high memory in the cheaper phones. Still, many companies only give 3GB RAM, and this price range. Therefore Poco definitely has an edge in this.
Camera and Display
Poco C3 has a 6.4″ LCD screen with 720×1600 resolution. The resolution is also called HD+, with a 20:9 aspect ratio. There is a notch at the top with a 5 MP selfie camera. This camera can take HDR photos and normal 1920×1080 videos at 30 fps. It is not that exciting, but for the price, this is what most companies go for. Now for the rear side, there are three cameras. There is a 13 MP main sensor, 2 MP depth sensor, and 2 MP macro module.
The setup is capable of taking 1080p video at maximum capacity. There are modes like AI scene detection, Panorama, etc. This is a good camera set. But it would have been much better if the company had put an ultrawide camera. As a trade-off, ultrawide instead of the macro is also acceptable. The depth sensor is quite important because people do love photos with blur background or bokeh effect. Macro is a kind of niche but wide-angle is better and more useful.
Additional Features and Impressions
The phone runs on MIUI with the latest software features and improvements. For battery, there is a 5000 mAh battery with 10W standard charging. The company states this as a 2 days battery on the Poco India site. They claim to have 14 hours of gaming, 31 hours of video playback, and 586 hours on standby capacity. These are big claims, but if they are practically true, then it is fascinating. One thing that we miss on the Poco C3 is the fingerprint scanner. Therefore for security, we have to use PIN, password, pattern, and face unlock.
In overall look, Poco C3 has a decent basic processor, quite a large amount of RAM, and decent cameras. It is good to see Helio G35 with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage. The 5000 mAh battery on the phone is a nice addition for a budget range smartphone. Poco C3 can be a nice option for people who need a big screen for browsing the internet, consuming media, doing normal daily tasks, and basic normal uses.
If we compare prices in the market, Poco C3 is near to Xiaomi Redmi 9C. Both have the same hardware and price. But the only difference is higher RAM in the C3. So it makes more sense in taking this high-value product over Redmi 9C.
