Design and Build
The Samsung Galaxy A73 5G has a big body with 163.7 x 76.1 x 7.6 mm dimensions and 181g weight. 7.6 mm is quite thin and this phone packs a lot of hardware in that body. The phone has a smooth curved side rail and flat back with raised camera island. On the right side there is the power button and volume rocker, on the top there is an SD card plus Nano-SIM card tray, and at the bottom, there is USB Type-C and speaker grill.
Samsung is providing IP67 dust and water resistance with the Galaxy A73 which is a nice thing. It is a very useful feature and it’s nice to see IP rating in mid-range phones. The phone also has a textured back which makes it less slippery and more gripping on hands. In all this goodness, there is one sad thing about the Galaxy A73 5G is that there is no headphone jack.

Samsung Galaxy A73 5G has Snapdragon 778G chipset with Adreno 642L GPU on the inside. The phone has 6 GB base RAM and 128 GB storage. It also supports 5G and a maximum of 1 TB memory card. This time Samsung is making the market ready for 5G when Nepal Telecom and Ncell rollout the service.
In the software department, A73 is loaded with Android 12 and the latest One UI 4.1. Then in the case of the battery, there is a 5000 mAh battery with 25W fast charging. In order to enjoy fast charging, you will have to buy a charger yourself because Samsung is not providing any. We are very disappointed in this practice because normal people who upgrade in 3-4 years don’t have a charger that is USB-C or with such high speed. So people are forced to but and that will again have plastic packaging.
Display and Cameras
On the front side, Samsung Galaxy A73 5G has a 6.7″ Super AMOLED screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate, 800 nits peak brightness, and 1080×2400 FHD+ resolution. The screen has Gorilla Glass 5 protection and a small hole punch at the top for a 32 MP selfie camera. The front camera is capable of 4K video recording which is useful for vloggers and content creators.
Rear side of the Galaxy A73 has a total of 4 cameras on a raised camera island. The first one is the main 108 MP camera with optical image stabilization, then the second one is a 12 MP ultrawide camera, the third one is a 5 MP macro and the fourth one is a 5 MP depth-sensing camera. This setup can record 4K videos and 30 fps and has gyro-EIS for video stabilization.
