Samsung has a successful J7 lineup. Now the company has yet again launched a new phone with the name Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro or Galaxy J7 (2017). This new J7 Pro has been officially launched in Nepal. Samsung Nepal also launched Galaxy J7 Max a few weeks ago. Now there are three J7s in the market but among all, J7 Pro is the best phone in the J series for this year. We shall explain more on this without an article. Samsung is refreshing other models in this family too. Currently, the Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro price in Nepal is Rs 32,990.
Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro is the company’s best offer for 2017 in the J series. If we have to compare all the J7 models which means Samsung Galaxy J7 Max vs. J7 Pro vs. J7 Prime then Pro easily comes at the top. This phone has very good hardware, an improved design, and lots of power. There are quite a few differences between J7 Max, J7 Prime and J7 Pro. Quite a few things have changed since last year’s model. The specs are far better and the design is also better. We have discussed all these below.

Design and Build
Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro has a new design with metallic construction. It has a 152.5 x 74.8 x 8 mm dimension body with rounded corners and a new hardware layout. In my personal view, the front looks more like a Galaxy S7. Galaxy J7 Pro has a screen on the front with rounded edges. There are sensors, a selfie camera, and an earpiece with the Samsung logo at the top. Then at the chin, there are touch navigation buttons and a home button with an embedded fingerprint scanner.
The backside of the phone is pretty special as the camera is now placed vertically instead of horizontally. There are new antenna bands on the back of the phone in a new design. The left side of the phone has volume rockers, a SIM card tray, and an SD card tray. On the right side, there is a volume button and speaker slot. The bottom of the J7 Pro has a USB port and headphone jack while the top side has nothing except antenna bands.
Core Internal Hardware
Below the display panel, Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro is rocking a powerful octa-core processor on the Exynos chipset. Exynos is considered a good chipset in the industry. So it is performing well on J7 Pro. By the way, the GPU is old and the same as its predecessor. Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro has 3 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage which is amazing. It also supports SD cards up to 256 GB which is even better.
The J7 Pro packs a 3600 mAh battery which is perfect for phones of this size and power. This battery can easily provide juice for gaming, music playback, and video streaming for a good whole day. For the operating system, there is Android 7.1, and on top of that, there is a new Samsung Experience UI. In regards to features, the Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro has a fingerprint sensor on the home button and it also has sensors such as a Gyrosensor, compass, etc.
Display and Cameras
Things here look attractive both on paper and phone. At the front of the Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro, we have a 5.5” Super AMOLED screen with 1920x1080p resolution which supports the Always-on display (AOD) feature. The Always on Display feature was introduced in the Galaxy S7. Overall this is a fantastic-looking display with top-tier AMOLED technology and enough pixels for a 5.5″ size.
In terms of the camera, the sensors for both sides are 13 MP but there is a difference in aperture size. The back camera has a wide aperture of f/1.7 while the front has only f/1.9. The front camera can take good selfies and full HD videos but the back camera is exceptional. f/1.7 aperture of the back main camera is very wide for great low-light shots. It gets a good picture with less noise even at low light conditions. The camera is hugely improved with a wider aperture.
Conclusion
Honestly Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro packs really powerful hardware. It has good Exynos chipset, a fast octa-core processor, sufficient RAM, and an amazing camera with a long battery life. There are almost all the required sensors too. It also has beautiful and solid construction because it looks like a flagship phone and nothing less. In my opinion, it is one of the best looking and best value phones. Still, the question lies in pricing. Or our main concern, which is the increasing price.
The price of Galaxy J series phones and any other series products is increasing each year and revision by revision. We know spending capacity of people is also increasing, the but J series is popular for budget and upper budget range. However Galaxy J7 Pro now sits in the mid-range category in terms of pricing. For price J7 Pro is justifiable but we hope Samsung focuses more on the budget category. Other than that Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro is a perfect choice for now.
