Design and Build
The Galaxy M52 has a big body with a 6.7″ screen. It has a plastic build with a rectangular boxy design and rounded corners. The device has a dimension of 164.2 x 76.4 mm with a 7.4 mm thickness. It has a reduced weight of 175 grams. According to Samsung, they reduced the weight of the M52 5G due to complaints of consumers that previous phones such as Galaxy M51 and M62 were quite heavy. The complaints were mainly from gamers who use smartphones for extended periods of time.
The Galaxy M52 5G has a plastic body with a slim design. On its left side, there is a SIM card and SD card tray. Similarly, on the right side, there is the volume rocker and power button with an embedded fingerprint scanner. At the bottom side, there is USB Type-C, speaker grill, and headphone jack.
Core Internal Hardware
Samsung Galaxy M52 5G comes with Snapdragon 778G processor which has two quadcore sets and Adreno 642L GPU. The processor has a 40% faster GPU and at least 20% better CPU performance than Snapdragon 750G chipset. In the case of memory, the smartphone has 6 GB and 8 GB RAM options. There is a base 128 GB storage model with micro SD support for expansion. The M52 has support for 11 bands of 5G as well. However, for the time being, it can provide 4G and VoLTE in the case of Nepal.
Galaxy M52 5G is using a 5000 mAh battery with 25W fast charging. According to the company, the phone can charge up to 50% in 30 minutes with a 25W charger. By the way, users need to purchase the 25W charger separately. Samsung is only providing a 15W charger in the retail box. If you are wondering why the battery is smaller compared to Galaxy M51, you are asking the right question. According to Samsung officials, it is to reduce the weight of the phone. It is because they got complaints of the phone being very heavy with a 7000 mAh battery. It might be also to control heat on big batteries.
Display and Cameras
In the display part, Samsung Galaxy M52 5G has good improvements. The phone comes with a massive 6.7″ Super AMOLED screen and 1080×2400 FHD+ resolution. It also has a 120 Hz refresh rate which improves the experience of users. The faster refresh rate can highly benefit mobile gamers and basically every user. The M52 has an Infinity-O display with a small hole cutout at the top. Inside the cutout, there is a 32 MP camera with 4K video recording capability.
Unlike Galaxy M51, there are just 3 cameras in the Galaxy M52 5G. There is a 64 MP wide-angle camera with f/1.8 aperture, 12 MP ultrawide angle camera with f/2.2 aperture, and a 5 MP f/2.4 macro camera. The cameras at the back of M52 can shoot videos at a maximum of 4K 30fps. According to Samsung, the camera app also offers features such as Single Take, Quick Take, Smart Selfie Angle, and My Filters. Single Take used to be an exclusive feature for flagship phones. As there are just three cameras, we can see that there is no depth-sensing camera. So, Samsung has made a cut of one camera this time and it might be for balancing the budget.
