Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is an iconic flagship from the company. It has seen 3 iterations since the past and it is the 4th one. It is the successor of Galaxy Note 3 which was also very popular It brought 4K video recording to the masses. The Note series is famous for high end, cutting edge, latest and top class hardware, power and the most special Stylus or S Pen. The S Pen is considered as the productivity wand for Note sires. We have tested this device for some and this what we have to say about it.
Hardware Specifications: The Galaxy Note 4 is a high-end device so this has all the great features. There are two models with a different processor. One has Snapdragon 805 which has 2.7 GHz quad core processor. Then there is another model with Exynos 5433 with one 1.3 GHz and 1.9 GHz 4 core sets. In simple terms, Exynos is more powerful and it is the model we get in Nepal. As SoC are different, they also have a different graphics card. They are Adreno 420 in Snapdragon and Mali GPU in Exynos. Samsung has now bumped up the memory to 3 GB which is a great improvement over the Galaxy S5.
The screen is 5.7” super AMOLED which supports stylus. Its resolution is also very high at 1440×2560 with a pixel density of 515 PPI. This big screen is also protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 4. Internal storage space is 32 GB and the device also supports SD card up to 128 GB. The camera at the rear is a 16 Megapixel f/2.2 camera that can shoot photos at 5312×2988. The front camera is 3.7 MP with f/1.9 aperture. Note 4 also comes with big removable 3220 mAh battery.
Advanced Analysis and Features
The main primary camera can also take videos in UHD(4K) that is 2160p at 30 FPS. Higher frame videos such as and 1080p at 60 FPS is also possible. The video resolution improvement in the front camera is also very good. The front camera can also now record 1440p videos which is also called QHD.
The Note 4 also has 15W fast charging which helps us filling that 3220 mAh battery faster. There are some special modules and cover that help us get wireless charging function in this phone. It supports Qi charging actually. This is a great show-off feature for anyone. It is sure that one day it will mature and become widely popular. The Galaxy Note 4 is filled with useful sensors like compass, barometer, gyrosensor, heart rate monitor and SpO2 monitor. The heart rate and oxygen saturation (Sp02) sensors are very useful for health enthusiasts. Its functions are embedded in S Health.
This new flagship also as PayPal certified fingerprint scanner, MHL 3 TV Output via micro USB, Infrared and much more. It packs a lot more than most people can demand. Now the most important part of Note is S Pen. It provides power to write, draw, doodle and use the device. Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has a bit better S Pen with improved tip and sensitivity. Many people like it for work, taking notes and productive tasks.
Impressions and Conclusion
Quick Charge 2.0 on this device can charge 60% of the battery in just 30 minutes. Overall, Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has a very fast processor considering Exynos chip. It has upgraded RAM and storage with big memory card support. It also comes with a super sharp enormous display, giant fast charging battery, and a fantastic camera. We have seen 4K footage from Note 4 and they look amazing. Both cameras are absolutely lovely and present astounding results.

It is an enormous phone so one-handed use is very hard. However, we did enjoy the phone by putting it on a table and using it with S Pen. The build of the phone is also very good with metallic rails and faux leather back. It is good to see that there is a way to replace the battery easily and also get wireless charging. It is very impressive to see phones with such power in the market. However, it comes with a hefty price of Rs 85,900 in Nepal or ($850) internationally. If you love taking notes, drawing, sketching on your digital companion and crave for high-end power, the Note 4 is just the answer for your appetite.
