Galaxy Note 9 AKA “Crown” is coming very soon in Nepal. Samsung Nepal showed their new flagship to all the bloggers. We also experienced the device during the whole meeting and we talked about many things. For the Note lovers we want to say that, it is launching this August for sure. Pre-booking is starting from August 17th and they are including special packages with this as well. Our sources tell us that Galaxy Note 9 will be available in Nepal within 1 week after launch in India. Sources hint that price may be around Rs 1,14,990 for 128 GB Variant. But we know that all three colors except Lavender Purple are coming to Nepal.
The Note series is a very special phone because it has a stylus which almost no other phone has. It is a very unique phone and as always it never ceases to amaze us. Galaxy Note 9 is a beautiful phone with industrial design and full of top horsepower. This phone is very similar to the S9 but there unique features that give it a USP.
Hardware Specs: Just to start let us summarize its hardware specifications. Note 9 hosts a 6.4″ SAMOLED display with 1440×2960 screen resolution. There are no notch and even the bezels are very less. Inside it is rocking Exynos 9810 in Nepal with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage. USA has Snapdragon 845 version but elsewhere there is Exynos. There is a 8 GB RAM and 512 GB version as well but it is not sure for Nepal. The phone also supports SD card up to 512 GB which is brilliant.
The Note 9 is having a 4000 mAh battery which is one of the biggest reason we like it very much. There is no hardware change in camera and it is same as the S9+. It has dual 12 MP sensor set at back. One sensor is f/2.4 and next is variable with f/1.5-2.4. This setup can record 4K at 60 FPS and 720p at 960 FPS videos which are very amazing to look at. The front side has 8 MP f/1.7 camera which is as same as S9. But there are lots of software improvement and AI integration to detect blurry shots, scenery, smudges etc.
Samsung Galaxy Note 9 First Impressions
We enjoyed the Galaxy Note 9 for quite a time today. As usual, the device is very gorgeous with curved front and back panels. The screen is a bit bigger but it is not noticeable because the bezels are smaller than Note 8. Its new “Diamond cut” or chambered edges is noticeable and feels a bit different. Battery size is higher this time and it feels a bit thicker and this is totally fine. We always support bigger battery because small size delta can always be traded for power.
Samsung is now hailing with 128 GB base storage now this makes a lot of sensor for dual SIM users. Previously when people wanted more storage they needed to trade in their SIM card for SD card because of the Hybrid SIM nuisance. Now with 128 GB and 512 GB storage its almost removed the need of SD card. As Note 9 is for professionals there are improvements in those special segments as well.
The phone now supports Dex with just an USB Type-C to HDMI adapter or even a USB Type C cable supporting monitor. Users don’t need separate dock like the Galaxy S9 or the Note 8. For the first time, S -Pen is having Bluetooth and it can be used to do many things. Our favorite feature that we want to use is showing presentation just using phone with HDMI adapter and controlling slides with the S-Pen.
We also plan to do a full review of the phone very soon. The pricing will be similar to Indian price or may be less as well. Samsung Nepal usually keeps the price of phones lower and to the range with international and Indian market. If you want review of anything specific in future then do tell us.
