The back is textured ad removable which has a camera cutout, speaker, and LED flash. The aside rail is plastic with a chrome finish and has a volume rocker on the left while the power button stays on the right. Just like normal Samsung phones, the USB port, and headphone jack are at the bottom
Core Internal Hardware
Samsung Galaxy On7 Pro has a Snapdragon 410 chipset with a quad-core processor and Adreno 306 GPU. It has 2GB RAM and 16 GB of on-board storage which is quite enough for normal users. There is also support to add external SD cards up to 256 GB which is immense. Most people usually only add 16 GB or 32 GB memory cards these days. So having such a big expansion capacity is amazing.
The phone has a removable 3000 mAh battery under the removable back cover. This is a decent-sized battery for a phone that has a big screen and high capability. With such a big screen, On7 Pro can be used for content consumption and entertainment, binge-watching. Thus big battery is important. For the operating system, On7 Pro has Android Marshmallow. Some news outlets also hinted that it can get an Android 7 Nougat update in the future very soon.

Display and Cameras
Samsung Galaxy On7 Pro is featuring a 5.5″ TFT LCD panel with 720×1280 HD resolution. This is a TFT panel and it is not as good as IPS and it is far away from AMOLED. Samsung used AMLED in older Galaxy J5 but they are using TFT in this. It doesn’t look that good but we have to consider price, screen size, and other specs too. So this is what Samsung is offering.
The camera section has a standard set of sensors. There is a 13 MP main camera with f/2.1 aperture on the back and a 5 MP selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture on the front. The back camera can take good crispy high-def photos and take 1920×1080 Full HD 30 fps videos. The front camera is also very standard and 5 MP is good enough for selfies and video calls. The camera department and its constituents are pretty good for this price range.
Impressions
Samsung Galaxy On7 Pro is a very successful phone in the Indian market. It has been popular in India for a long time. Actually, the previous generation “On” series phones didn’t come to Nepal. However, Samsung Galaxy On7 Pro is now here to stay with us.
In an overall look, On7 Pro is a very good smartphone with up-to-date specs. It has a big screen, quad-core processor, 2 GB RAM, 256 GB storage support, and a decent battery. The only downside is TFT LCD, it is very nice but not like AMOLED. It was a necessary step for the company to take in order to make it cheap.
On7 Pro also does its work by filling the budget price gap in the market. Actually, Samsung releases lots of phones and it gives customers the opportunity to buy a phone in every level of their budget. For Samsung Galaxy On7 Pro, there is a lot of competition at this price point in the market. This means brands are offering similar specs at competitive pricing, but Samsung is a premium brand and you’ll have to pay a premium. Summing it all up and considering everything, we like this phone and recommend it for this price.
