Initial Impressions
Both Galaxy S9 and S9+ seem more of a refined version of Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. The company is trying to improve and give what people like. They are conflating more features and making good packages each year. It is a good practice because last year they figured out the new design and this time they are refining things. For example, the placement of a fingerprint scanner below the camera is one big change. Samsung did the same with the Galaxy S6 and improved it to the Galaxy S7 the next year. To be honest that was a great step.
There are many new things in these smartphones to talk about. It includes a new processor, better camera, variable aperture, sensor placements, audio, and much more. The new Galaxy S9 series comes with Exynos and Snapdragon processors. The Exynos version of the Nepali market is as fast as the Snapdragon 845 according to the company. However, reviews will tell the real story. The camera on both phones also comes with lots of improvements this time.
Camera and Special Features
The aperture of the back camera can now go wide at f/1.5 and also at the dual aperture where it can go down to f/2.4. This gives better control for dark and bright situations. We can also now take amazing 4K videos are 60 fps and 720p 960 fps slow motion video which is amazing. Samsung AR Emoji is a new interesting thing that wants to compete with Apple. Dex is also there for the S9 series but for now, there is no word on the new Dex station at all from Samsung Nepal.
Nepali users are only going to get the base model or 64 GB version for now. Both S9 Plus and S9 do support SD cards up to a whopping 400 GB. So there shouldn’t be any issues even with less storage. Samsung Nepal said it is going to assess demand for a higher storage version and then only launch a higher storage model. Most of the time, memory cards do suffice but faster UFS storage does help a lot in 4K 60 fps recording.

Samsung has made small refinements such as a new processor, new OS, better curves, better sensor placement, and newer cameras. The design is also just slightly changed but fingerprint sensor placement is a major positive change. It is now much easier to reach it without smudging the camera. We are happy with how Samsung is listening to customers.
The phone now also uses its top speaker along with the bottom one to provide fantastic stereo sound. One of the very interesting things in my view is blood Pressure measuring system is what impressed us a lot. We also have a full review of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 blood pressure measurement function which automatically covers S9 and S9+ as they are similar.

If people take the Rs 5000 discount, then the price of Galaxy S9 after the discount comes to be Rs 87,900, and the price of Galaxy S9+ after the discount comes to be Rs 99,900.
