From a big competition we have selected a few and famous smartphones for our contest of top 3 budget smart phones in Nepal. This comparison is based on the demand,quality, fan base, manufacturer’s fame and obviously customer service. To start let’s meet our champions, they are Karbonn Sparkle V, Samsung Galaxy Core Prime and Panasonic Eluga A. Lets begin with the Karbonn Sparkle which is the latest launch. These are the top smartphones and each have their own specialty. So the choice is yours

Karbonn Sparkle V This phone was released online in India around October but this just launched in Nepal. This smartphone is powered by Quad Core 1.3 GHz processor with a Mali 400 GPU. It has 4.5 inch display with resolution of 480×850 with pixel density of 218 ppi. The RAM is 1GB but the internal memory is only 4 GB. You can install external SD card up to 32 GB.

The back camera is 5 MP that can record 720p videos at 30 FPS and capture pictures of resolution 2592×1944. The back camera is 2 MP capable of 480 p videos. It supports 3G network and the OS is Android 5.0 Lollipop. It is Android One phone in collaboration with Google for developing South Asian countries. The battery is only 1700 mAh and it has WiFi hotspot and Bluetooth , camera with face detection and geo-tagging. Its’ price is RS 11900. The phone is surely getting Android Marshmallow as promised on advertising and box. They said it will get guaranteed update for 2 years. We can hope they will continue forward too.

Eluga A is a 5” screen featuring smartphone with a resolution of 480×854 with 196 ppi pixel density. The processor is 1.2 GHz Quad Core packed with Adreno 302 graphics card. The RAM is 1 GB and the internal memory is only 4 GB and you can install external memory card up to 32 GB.

The back camera is 8 MP capable of 1080 p videos at 30 fps and taking pictures at resolution of 3264 x 2448 which comes with auto focus and LED flash but the secondary camera is only 1.3 MP which seems to be compromised in this case. The Bluetooth is only 3.0 and the OS is Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The battery is 2000 mAh and the price is Rs 13800.

Samsung Galaxy Core Prime
It is a 4.5” screened phone with resolution of 480X800 with pixel density of 207 ppi. Its processor is 64 bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 1.2 Ghz quad core with Adreno 306 graphics card. The internal memory is 8 GB RAM is 1 GB. You can

install up to 64 GB of external SD card. You can insert external SD card up to 64 GB. The back camera is 5 MP having recording capability of 720p videos at 30 fps and the front camera is 2 MP that can record videos at 480p and take picture at resolution of 2592×1944. The battery is 2000 mAh battery and at Ultra power saving mode it can run up to 9.3 days. The extra features include WiFi Direct, Bluetooth , 3.5 G and HSPA+ support and Android 5.0.2 KLollipop. It price is Rs 14900.The comparison shows that Panasonic Eluga A has better back camera but old OS. The Sparkle V has small battery in comparison but Core Prime has everything in balance. It has 64 bit latest processor with dual SIM and HSDPA+ or 3.5G to LTE support.

There are new and awesome features and Samsung has big fan base so modding is also easy. Anyway as always choice is always yours.
