Vivo Nepal has launched the Vivo V21 in the market. This is a new generation V series phone with quite powerful internals and improved cameras. Vivo smartphones have always focused on camera performance and they always keep on improving it. This year the company’s Vivo V21 is offering a neat package with powerful cameras, attractive design, and balanced hardware. The company took orders for pre-booking from July 16th to July 19th of 2021. The company has started the sales of mobile from July 20th, 2021.
These days the reliance on smartphones is highly increasing. We use it for work, business, study, entertainment, gaming, and camera. Photography and videography are increased due to the reach of people on smartphones. Youths create content for social media and fun. People take precious photos and videos for memory. Similarly, some people enjoy learning and exploring photography. Whatever the case may be, the use of smartphones as cameras is increased. This is why a good camera in a phone is very important because we always keep it in our pocket and the quality needs to be good.
Vivo says that they have been studying and listening to people for problems and demands. They say that mobile phone cameras have come a long way but still the problem is in low-light photography. The company wants to address the problem of low light photography, overexposure, oversaturation, and stabilization with these cameras. Simultaneously Vivo has also built a phone that has beefy hardware to provide a package experience.

Powerful Cameras on Vivo V21
Vivo has put a lot of effort into improving the camera on V21. This can be seen in the hardware. The most interesting one is the front 44 MP camera with optical image stabilization (OIS). This is a very rare feature to have in the front selfie camera. There is a dual-LED flash at the front, HDR support, and 4K 30 fps video recording support. The OIS can provide stabilization to take selfie photos and videos in shaky condition. The combination of stabilization and dual-LED flash can help bring good light, tones, and results for night time scenarios. There are few modes in the front side camera such as Beauty Mark Retention, Ultra Stable Video, Night Selfie, Al Extreme Night, Kid Face Beauty, Head Slimming, Double Exposure, Video Face Beauty, and Dual-View Video.
On the backside, there are three cameras on an island with LED flash. Firstly, the primary camera is a 64 MP sensor with OIS. Secondly, there is an 8 MP ultrawide camera with a 120˚ field of view. Thirdly there is a 2 MP macro sensor. The main rear camera can also record 4K 30 fps videos at maximum capacity. There is OIS in the main camera module which helps in both photography and videography. However, one thing to note is that stabilization is only available for 1080p 30 fps videos on camera of both sides. The software for the rear side camera has few modes such as Motion, Eye, Body, and Object Autofocus. Then there are Super Night Mode, Ultra-Wide Night Mode, and Ultra-Stable Video.

Vivo V21e Price in Nepal, Specifications, Features, Details
Vivo V21e has been launched in the Nepali market after a very small gap of the launch of Vivo V21. The V21e is another new addition to the V series. The V21 and V21e have a price difference of Rs 10,000 ($84) but there are some differences. Vivo V21e is offering a camera-centric smartphone with mid-range hardware to the young generation. The phone has quite a lot of focus on camera and photo-related features. It also has interesting features such as E3 AMOLED and HDR10. Nepali consumers are only getting V21e 4G model and it is quite different from the 5G model.
Vivo V21e 4G is a watered-down version of V21. It offers mid-range hardware and features but also the perks of good photography power. Major differences between V21 and V21e come actually in processor, display features, and camera internals. On the surface, both phones have similar internals and design but we need to understand few differences in power. Another thing to consider is the difference between the 4G model and the 5G model because processors are different. So here is a detailed specification of the V21e.

Build and Design
Vivo V21e has a dimension of 161.2×74.4 mm with a 7.4 mm thickness and 171 g weight. The phone has a sleek body with an AG glass design. There is a big screen and selfie camera on the front side. The volume rocker and power buttons are on the right side. Then on the backside, there is a camera island with three camera modules and LED flash. According to the company, the rear camera lens cover is enriched by UV printing and electron beam evaporation technology. The design of both V21e and regular V21 is similar and both look pretty nice.
Core Internal Hardware
The core internals of the V21e consists of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage. Snapdragon 720G is a mid-tier processor from 2020 and it is quite popular for its performance. There are features such as Snapdragon Elite Gaming and Qualcomm Sensing Hub built in the SoC for additional features. V21e is powered by a 4000 mAh battery with 33W fast charge support. Unlike the competition, Vivo is sticking with a moderate-size battery. However, one thing to note is that Vivo is using a power-efficient Snapdragon processor and E3 AMOLED display.
Vivo is using a new technology called “extended RAM”. This technology allows borrowing an additional 3 GB of space from the internal storage to use as RAM. So it works as 8+3 (11 GB) when needed. In the speed hierarchy, RAM is taken as one of the fastest memory where flash storage is the slower one. Therefore the additional 3 GB should help when needed but it won’t be fast as a dedicated RAM. By the way, this is a good concept for smartphones and the Vivo India website states that this technology allows users to open up to 20 apps at the same time.
Display and Camera
Vivo V21e has a 6.44″ E3 AMOLED with a notch at the top. E3 AMOLED is an energy-efficient OLED that offers a better color gamut and emits less blue light. The screen has a resolution of 1080×2400 or FHD+ which is sufficient. There is also support for HDR10 which means users can view HDR content from various sources. On top of the screen, there is a 44 MP selfie camera. It can shoot videos at 4K 30 fps. There is Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) support on this front camera for taking stabilized selfies and videos. The software for the front camera has modes such as Dual-View Video, 4K Selfie Video, and Steadiface.
On the backside, there are 3 cameras. First one is a 64 MP wide-angle camera with an f/1.9 aperture. Second one is an 8 MP ultrawide with f/2.2 aperture and 120˚ field of view. Third one is a 2 MP macro camera with an f/2.4 aperture. This rear camera setup of V21e is capable of taking 4K 30 fps videos at maximum capacity. There is also support for EIS on the backside camera. The software for the rear camera includes modes such as Super Night Mode, Stylish Night Filter, and Ultra-Stable Video.
Vivo V21e has Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) which means the phone uses software and algorithms to stabilize a shot. This helps to take better-stabilized photos and videos. Vivo V21 has optical image stabilization (OIS) where the lens moves to stabilize the shot. But that is expensive and requires hardware. EIS is not as good as OIS but it is worth having in a smartphone.
