There is a selfie camera, earpiece, and sensor on the top of the screen while at the bottom of the screen, there are touch navigation buttons. Core Internal Hardware
Inside the big construction, Redmi 3S packs a Snapdragon 430 processor with Adreno 505 GPU. It is combined with 2 GB of RAM or 3 GB RAM as per choice. For internal storage, there is a 16 GB option with a 2 GB variant and a 32 GB option with a 3 GB variant. If this si not enough, it can support external SD cards up to 128 GB. The Adreno 505 GPU which comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, is moderately powerful and it can do good gaming.
Xiaomi Redmi 3s is powered by a massive 4100 mAh battery. It also has 10W charging which is quite good and standard. The smartphone’s battery is powerful enough to run the mobile for about 2 days with normal usage. Redmi 3s system is running on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow with MIUI 7. Google’s new operating system is actually quite efficient and smart enough to make the battery life longer with smoother functions.
Additional Features
Redmi 3s has dual SIM support but with a Hybrid system. Many people don’t like Hybrid SIM/SD systems because it takes the option to use all three things at once. So we can’t use two SIM cards and an SD card at the same time. We can either use two SIM cards or one SIM and one SD card. There are two SIM card sizes actually. One is Nano and the next is the Micro SIM. The phone also has support for 4G,3G, and 2G networks which means there is total network support.

The fingerprint sensor is becoming a popular feature in the smartphone market. It is very good to see that Xiaomi has put a fingerprint sensor at the back of their new Redmi 3s. Gyrosensor has also been placed inside the beautiful body of this handset. Therefore users can now enjoy 360 videos and VR content as well on Xiaomi Redmi 3s. We care about gyrosensors because Google Cardboard requires gyrosensors and many of the phones from popular companies don’t have that.
Screen and Cameras
The Redmi 3s has a 5 inches IPS LCD screen with 720×1280 resolution which is HD. It is a decent and standard resolution for a phone of this size and price. Above that screen, there is a 5 MP selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture. On the back side of the Xiaomi Redmi 3s, there is a 13 Megapixel shooter with f/2.0 aperture. The main module is 13 MP and has an aperture f/2.0 which means the back camera is better in low light than the front piece. However, both front and back cameras can take full HD 1080p videos. The main back cameras can take crispy videos and provide high-resolution photos
Summing Up
The Xiaomi Redmi 3s is a budget smartphone with an outstanding blend of power and performance. It offers a decent 5″ screen, HD resolution, an octa-core processor that assures snappy performance, a huge 4100 mAh battery, and sufficiently powerful cameras. Its metal structure gives it sweet aesthetics, a solid feel, and a strong structure. Features such as a fingerprint scanner offer an extra degree of protection while features like a gyrosensor provide better gaming and VR experience.
Redmi 3s is an upper-budget range phone and it delivers power plus features for the price. It is definitely a great option at this price point. It also has competition in the market from products of the same company such as the older Mi 4 which is still excellent. Overall Xiaomi Redmi 3s is a fantastic phone and worth buying.
