The front side has two cameras, one is 20 Megapixel main sensor and next is 2 Megapixel depth sensing module. Same way back has 12 Megapixel main sensor and 5 Megapixel depth sensing module.
Xiaomi Redmi 7
There are huge differences between Redmi Note 7 and Redmi 7. One should be very careful between them while buying and considering. We sometimes find Xiaomi’s naming scheme a bit confusing. They should fix this and make an easily differentiable name. By the way, these are the hardware specs of Redmi 7.
- Snapdragon 632 Chipset
- 6.26″ IPS LCD Panel with Corning Gorilla Glass 5
- 2 GB RAM with 16 GB storage and 3 GB RAM with 32 GB storage
- 4000 mAh Lithium Polymer Battery (10W Fast charging support)
- 8 Megapixel f/2.0 Selfie camera
- 12 Megapixel f/2.2 + 2 Megapixel cameras at the back
This is a phone that really gives the best value for money. It is a true successor of older Redmi 6. We have done Redmi 6 vs Redmi 7 comparison to show the differences. Here, this new phone is giving Snapdragon 632 which is an entry-level chip with two 1.8 GHz 4 core sets. There is a big screen with 720×1520 resolution. On top, there is Gorilla Glass 5 which is amazing because, at this price, it is almost impossible to find. Camera wise the 12 MP camera with 2 MP sensor works really good with AI scene detection. The front 8 MP camera also has AI Beautify feature that helps to produce good looking selfies.
Xiaomi Redmi Y3
This is the successor of older Redmi Y2 or the Redmi S2. This phone is also very similar to Redmi 7. We have only listed the different hardware because except these all are the same.
- 32 Megapixel selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture
- 3 GB RAM with 32 GB Storage
- 4 GB RAM with 64 GB storage
So the Y3 comes with bigger storage options and very high-resolution front camera. Back cameras as the same though. It has same SD 632 chipset, the same screen with Gorilla Glass 5, same battery and feature set. So in a way it is better than then Redmi 7.
Redmi 6 and 6A
These phones came out in 2018 and they were launched during Xiaomi Nepal’s official stepping in or inauguration ceremony. Both are entry level budget phones. We also have done Redmi 6 full review and likes it a lot. This phone got a lot of appreciation for its look and small size. Below we have listed specs of Xiaomi Redmi 6.
- 5.45″ LCD Panel
- 720×1440 HD+ Resolution
- Mediatek Helio P22 Chipset with 2 GHz octa core processor
- 3000 mAh Battery
- 3/4 GB RAM
- 32/64 GB Onboard Storage
- 5 MP f/2.2 Front camera
- 12 MP + 5 MP f/2.2 Back cameras
This is a very simple phone wich entry range processor and decent camera. The specifications are very basic and as of now, it is quite slow in our experience. So it is better to go for a newer model actually. The Redmi 6A is its smaller brother and here are its specs.
- Mediatek Helio A22 SoC with 2 GHz 8 core processor
- 2 GB RAM plus 16 GB storage
- 3 GB RAM plus 32 GB storage
- 13 Megapixel f/2.2 main camera at the back
So there are the only different hardware found in Xiomi Redmi 6A. Except for these things everything is the same. So the main difference is in the processor which is not that significant. Another difference is in the back camera. This phone has only one camera module at the back while Redmi 6 has two modules. This affects performance in portrait mode mainly.
Xiaomi Redmi Go
This is the most interesting phone because it is among the cheapest and it has unique software. This phone sells under Rs 10,000 and it has the most basic hardware. But it is good because it uses the best software in the ecosystem. Redmi Go uses Google’s Android Go OS. This is the lightest version of Android made for the most basic hardware out there. It is nowhere a powerful phone and we only recommend this to anyone who is starting to use a smartphone or wants a secondary handset. Its specs are as follows.
- 5 Inches LCD Screen with HD resolution
- Snapdragon 425 Chipset with 1.4 GHz 4 core processor
- 1 GB RAM and 16 GB Storage
- 3000 mAh battery
- 8 Megapixel f/2.0 back camera
- 5 Megapixel f/2.2 selfie camera
The specs are very basic and can handle the very minimal task. So there is Android Go which is very light. This device uses a special operating system and it gives the hardware power to breather a bit easier. Google made Android Go just for phones like these.
